| Both the vase on the left and the chalice above were made in Bohemia circa 1860-90. The chalice is unusual because of the use of applied glass "jewels" which are rare to find. Bohemian silvered mercury glass was made from soda-lime glass which contains no lead, and is relatively more light weight when compared to the flint lead glass of English & American items. |
